When #NanditaDas said every man is a potential rapist, she actually referred to her father. #jatindas #MeToo
if this person file case against the girl then most feminist will come to support him 😳

"categorically denied". And so has every man who has been accused of #MeTooIndia. And the hypocrite Feminists are saying that they believe the accused, if he is one of them, but they believe the accuser, if the accused is on the other side. So, so predictable!

It is difficult for a wife or a daughter to believe that their loved one can do this. Can't blame them. How do deal with the fact someone you have hero worshiped is a pervert. Although instead of totally denying it really would be better if she had chosen to shut up or say that we are open to investigation.

IKR.

Am a woman, I support the #MeToo movement, have been a victim of harrassment myself like the millions of other women in India and around the world.

That said, if someone were to come forward and make allegations against my father, my brother, my husband or my son or any other man in my family, I wouldn't know how to react. It's wrong to judge women if they find themselves in such a situation and want to give their loved ones the benefit of doubt. Nothing wrong with that. Let the investigation play out and let the facts come to the surface. Infact, that should be the case for all allegations. Else, who knows if someone is falsely accusing another?

What does Nandita Das means when on the one hand she says women should speak up and then says do not dilute the movement?

Is accusing folks like her and her kin who claim moral superiority over others diluting the movement? In other words speak up as long as it is not against one of their own

Whatever happened to "Women should be believed no matter what? That's what #metoo in America is based on

Isn't questioning the accusers considered victim shaming
