How secular is Indian television?

I think its not about whether all the religions are covered or not...Secular means shows/dramas/movies which don't represent any religion- basically the ones which are neutral unless the story is explicitly religion based - Like the western dramas/movies!

Off the top of my head I can recall the following

Heena
Tanha (I think this was an Indo pak collaboration)
Hip Hip hurray had an ensemble cast and I think a few characters were Christians as well

Noorjahan
kitty party again had an ensemble cast and I think one of the characters was muslim
Khichadi had one of the sons marrying a christian
Des mein nikla hoga chand- Sangeeta Ghosh played a sikh

I am sure there were many more.

Anjs: What about Vampires and Werewolves? I don't see anybody complain about realism when it gets to these.

You should try watching Naagin season 1. It was a masterpiece apart from some a couple of really bad tracks and shoddy VFX.

I do not mind watching Indian supernatural version like Naagin , if done well. The biggest problem in Indian TV is lack of good story and execution is horrible.

I have seen many TV shows from all over the world, they hardly have any religious context unlike some of Indian shows. The religious is more of background, unless they make movies or shows specifically for festival that is different.
