What makes you think Meryl doesn't prep or go method?

Anecdote here for your reference -

It was intimidating enough for Anne Hathaway to share the screen with Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, but the Oscar winner approached the young actress on their very first day of shooting, telling her she was perfect for the role. She then added that was the last time she would be nice to her. And it was. It wasn't until promoting the film months later that Hathaway actually got to meet the actress, instead of the cold fashion icon she played in the film.

Meryl Streep learned Polish and German for Sophie's Choice

Learning a new language is challenging. It makes sense that most actors playing characters from countries other than their own just learn the phrases they need for a role, work on their accent, and call it a day. No one really expects an actor to "transform" into another person. But if you're Meryl Streep, that's not enough.

For Sophie's Choice, which earned her a Best Actress Oscar, she worked with a tutor to learn both Polish and German. (Because only a slacker would learn one language while working on movie.) She was even called on to speak German in a Polish accent, telling Entertainment Tonight, "That was serendipity. I just had the Polish accent, so everything sounded Polish."

so there you go, vicky also locked himself in a room to prepare for a role, and for takht he said he is going to enter into the scariest territory as an actor, so there is nothing wrong with ranveer and vicky saying such stuff, they seem to be more method actors, and so it helps them to physically go into that dark place to prepare for such dark roles

Perhaps Vicky was suffering from selective memory loss when he gave that interview shading actors who prep/method actors the other day. How convinient! 🤣

Well that's what he said. He learnt from Nawaz, Ranbir and Alia that he doesn't need to talk about his process. That's the reason why he has had five releases since RR but haven't spoken about his process.

He anyways wasn't shading anyone in the interview. If you see the whole interview in context, it's pretty clear they are just giving their own opinion. It was Ranbir and Ranveer fans who deviated that topic and made it a R vs R fanwar again, as usual.

If baaton ka batangad banana was a sport, Bollywood forum would've won gold medals every year!

Some are natural,some prep and reach there.

What matters is the performance and whether it connects or not.

Once on screen, if they connect with the viewers,then all that went behind the scenes does not matter.

All these actors are prepping in some way or the other and a lot of that depends on the role. Some share it some don't especially in BW while in HW everyone is talking about the process cause it's their job to act and there is nothin wrong to share details.
There is no right or wrong in acting. What matters is what we see onscreen and not what's happening behind that's mostly for those who are really interested in acting.
And you get to learn about a lot of actors/actresses what they do for some roles in THR interviews
