That's my questions too. In Marvel movies the character suits keep improving, example Ironman in the first movie compared to Infinity war. Even spider man like his was what two years in the Marvel movies and he got an updated suit 😆
Isn't Rajni's character a scientist? He doesn't upgrade it after all these years? 😛

Edit- the last part of the teaser shows chitti in a different look and that is the good part of the teaser seems good with all the action.

wait till you watch the trailer in the big screen.
the real effect will be seen then

teasers mean nothing for a Rajini movie.

With Shankar as director, I am sure there will be an interesting concept/idea behind mobile phones and all and won't be silly even if that's how it may be looking right now.
I doubt if he has a full-fledged exciting script behind that concept/idea though.

@baradwajrangan
Saw the #2Point0 teaser on a really small screen. Felt a bit meh. But just saw it in 3D on the big screen and have to say this. It's the *cleanest* 3D image (in terms of clarity, colour, brightness) I have seen. Quite blown away, given how muddy and bleary 3D films usually look.

Am I the only one who didn't find the teaser to be bad VFX and content wise? 😕
I saw it on a pretty big screen and it really looked nice. I don't get the comparisons between this and Krish/Ra One. Ra One was still okay but Krish?? That film had such poor VFX even in the trailer,like right at the beginning with the plane and the pillars, it's so evident that it's fake.
On the other hand, I found the VFX of 2.0 really nice and worth the wait. Yeah, that whole crowd falling looked a bit fake but rest looked really nice. Especially the reflection of the feather on the glass and then it shattering the glass panels. Also there wasn't anything in acting department to judge. Just a hand click by Akshay and one dialogue by Rajni. Also this whoole cell phone loving antagonist has really piqued my interest. I loved that shot where the cellphones come together like a whirlpool and becomes Akshay's feathered wings.

.
Anyways, I don't enjoy Rajni films and find them pretty dated so I'm not sure whether I'll enjoy the film or not. But will still try to catch it for the VFX and concept if not for anything else. My first Rajni film. Can't stand him onscreen.

^^ Rajini is a good actor. He is one of those superstars who got trapped in his image and his fan base always expected the same kinda films from him. Which resulted in repetitive stuff in the same genre. The guy started off playing negative roles and has done a lot of realistic cinema during the initial years of his career. He was amazing when he collaborated with directors with Mani Ratnam. He was always pitted against Kamal Hassan and Kamal is a phenomenal actor so that partly contributed to the 'Rajini is a bad actor' myth. IMO, he was good and did extremely well esp. during his initial years. He just happened to have amazing screen presence, his commercial films clicked and his style caught on so everyone wanted the same thing from him over and over again.
