Actually i like rs as an actor. Just when he tries to be some over energetic person jumping up and down and doing crazy things for attention...and thise atrocious clothes...it makes me sad that he is afraid to show his original self to people.

well rs seems to hav quite a layered personality, he has that side where he is energetic and wearing colorful outfits, then there is the side to him where he is very calm and serious, deepika even mentioned alot of people dont get to see that side to him, so he isn't energetic all the time

i think because i've followed ranveers career everyday for the past 6 years i have seen that serious side to him, but others usually only see him being energetic, so think he is like that all the time

Bcoz Mumbai is not Hollywood or Beverly Hills. It is one of the most populated, congested and costliest cities in the world.

It is not possible for stars to have their own bungalows due to lack of land. Even the erstwhile bungalows are now razed and making room for Skyscrapers. From Rajesh Khanna bungalow to even Kapoors are planning to do the same.

Also, it is not safe for stars to live alone nor does it guarantee privacy as most of these bungalows are surrounded by skyscrapers. Even SRK has now built his own building behind Mannat which is where he lives.

And just bcoz these Bollywood stars live in Flats does not mean they are simple. Most of them have the entire floors of flats to themselves. For example: Hrithik old house has 3 FLOORS (please note: not just flats) to themselves. That is like a Huge Bungalow atop a building by itself. The bachelors pad he stays right now is simple comparatively but still quite breezy for a single man.

Edit: These stars have farmhouses or properties in places out of Mumbai. Like Salman has a huge farmhouse

LOL at people who think a B grade Bollywood celeb like Ranveer can buy a Bungalow in South Bombay, even A listers of Bollywood cannot afford a Bungalow without draining much of their net worth.

Are people inferring here that you have to live in bungalow to be rich ?How is that even relevant whether it proves he is rich or not ?

Besides ,I thought with Kapoor were going bankrupt ,hence they are selling the studio.From what I know ,the wealth has dried up from them .They are relying on RK and no wonder a heiress for their "blue blooded air".

Also to note ,Mumbai is said to have higher real estate price than even NYC.With limited spaces availability ,flat would more common form of housing.Flats are not cheap in Mumbai either . 😆

South Bombay is one of the costliest places in world, even small size bungalows cost Rs.200 crore and when you reach good sized bungalows the prices are in the range of Rs.400-500 crores.

Jatia House with 30,000 Sq. feet area was sold for Rs.425 crores and Lincoln House with 50,000 sq feet area was sold for Rs.750 crores. This is Billionaire territory not affordable for Bollywood celebs who buy Big luxury apartments in the range of Rs.30-50 Crores. Only exception is senior citizens like Amitabh, Jeetendra etc who have amassed 4 bungalows each in earlier times.

I dont think money is a issue. Atleast all the Top Stars can afford a Bungalow in Mumbai if they want. They live in the costliest part of Mumbai with Sea facing apartments. The house were Hrithik n Akshay live which is just next to the Sea must be sky high. Even for rent.

See One Floor in a Building usually has Minimum 4 flats. So, many Top stars actually invest 150-200 Crs to buy the entire floor. And some buy 2-3 floors. So, you can do the maths.

Fact is Bungalows are a high maintenance and waste in a city like Mumbai. Even SRK is struggling to maintain Mannat. He has to have his own security and so many other amenities. Plus, the view of the sea can get obstructed due to upcoming high rises.

Even the Richest Indian, Mukesh Ambani preferred to built a Skyrise instead of a Sprawling Bungalow in Mumbai.

The way i see it is Stars would rather buy Bungalows and Farmhouses in scenic places like Khandala etc instead of hving one in Mumbai.

Really? Are you their treasurer?

When the fixed costs for maintaining something is more than revenue generated from it then nobody can meet its break even point. Then that asset is no longer productive. So you sell it.

Rk studios has very less revenues nowadays. Its not well equipped like yrf. I dont think its location is convenient either.

Besides yhat fire...which even though it could have been a ploy to extract insurance from a dead horse asset...could have i say...has razed it. Rebuilding it and renting it out again to parties would mean going through their own pockets. A sprawling family and they might want their portions instead of buildibg up somethibg which gives less returns.

That hardly means bankruptcy.

Rishi kapoor alone has more net worth than ranbir i believe. Google it. He worked so many years...and kapoors have a lot of properties around mumbai. Raj kapoor shammi shashi everyone was successful. You dont have their bank account details by any chance do you? of the family combined has way more than ranbir alone can even hope to have had in these 10 11 years of work.
