Why Ajay Devgan doesn't work with A-lister actresses?

Over the last few years, most of his heroines were either Bollywood B-grade actresses or struggling actresses from the south like Tamannaah Bhatia, Kajal Aggarwal and with other struggling or flop actresses but I barely see him acting with any A-lister actresses over the last few years. Last time I saw him acting with an A-lister was back in 2013 in Satyagraha with Kareena. Never saw him acting with other A-lister actresses like DP, PC, Katrina, Anushka, Jacqueline, Sonam, Alia or with Shradda. Kangana worked with him when she was a B-grade actress but even she didn't work with him after she became popular. However, his wife Kajol is an A-lister actress and one of the most loved actress by the audiences but sad that he mostly works with B-grade or C-grade heroines. Does anybody know the reasons for it?

Oh yeah, I forgot that he worked with Sonakshi on few movies but is she an A-lister actress? Her career seems to be almost over. Haven't heard of her in long time.
