You never know what would happen in future...the grass is always greener on the other side...many actresses got married, had kids and came back for a second stint...its not easy to give up on the glitz and glamor of BW unless BW gives up on you...

The future is too far away to discuss these scenarios. I'm more focused on the present and, personally, I am extremely disappointed as fan by her sheer laziness and ill-advised decisions regarding her BW career. She had great hype and momentum going for her in 2015, which she ruined by willingly taking a break to do a thankless role in a B-grade HW flick. Her life, her choices...but as a fan, it's sad to see her go out this way while her (future) hubby dearest currently has 4 films in his kitty. 🥱

She probably has/had offers out there. I think the speculation had it she was offered Shamshera.

I think she just wants to concentrate on the wedding and start up again in 2019.

I don't agree with this...when one is as popular as Deepu or SRK or Salman...a part of them belongs to their fans also...the fans who made them...so fans can complain that they are not getting to see their favorite...yes the star's personal life is their own...no doubt...but then the fans do have the right to feel disappointed too..

People experience burn-outs, Normal people too quit their careers at their peak and would want to try something else...So i guess she just wants to enjoy the free time and her wedding...

Also I feel she is in very happy space personally and professionally probably she doesn't feel the need to prove herself anymore.

2010-2015 deepu was ambitious and always burning with this need to prove herself...and she kinda did, with her string of hits, not just as a star but also as a performer...i think piku was the movie, where she stopped and felt like she did enough and if she had to continue she would be very selective...

I dunno what deepika's plans are...but her demands for too much of author backes roles, refusal to jump onto biopic wagon since sapna didi got shelved and demand for too much money rubbed producers tge wrong way. Yrf and dharma especially. There was a lot of news about that.

@ bold...no. she was not. Have you made that up? Yrf film...and their darling vaani was the only choice.

I don't think she is done in bollywood. I feel she has become more selective and choosy. Most probably because she feels she has already proven herself. As a fan I would always wish well for my favourite even if I don't agree with their decisions. If she wants to take it slow and do one movie a year it is up to her. My only wish is she should choose solid scripts and work with good directors. And frankly speaking XXX is not a project I'm excited for.
