LATE last year, the top boss of this German carmaker's Indian arm headed to Europe to take up a major role with the same company. His departure was celebrated by his colleagues in India, as the head honcho was supposed to have been a pain to work with, and had sacked a number of people, including some very senior execs. Now, it seems that the big boss, who is a major motorcycle enthusiast, has been served his just desserts. When he tried to implement a sack-happy culture in his new territory, he was apparently asked to leave the company itself.
