She is playing elder sister of Ranveer & Vicky and supposedly a supporting role to them. Since Alia is the lead heroine opposite hero Ranveer in the film and Jahnvi is sex slave of Vicky it is right to say Kareena is finally doing a proper aunty type role for the first time probably. She has infact no hero in the film. 😛

Jahanara was a spinster..and a devoted daughter,who took over the role of her mother..and often duties of her father.She looked after her father in prison for 8 years till his death..

Alia too plays the mother of 8 children..

It seems like a good role. Nothing wrong with playing the older sis, even though I don't think of her much as an acyress.

Dont know how true it is but I wonder if KJo will show the relationship between Jahann Ara and Shahjahan though. I read somewhere that apparently the father and daughter had an incestuous relationship. Gross!

Such an offensive comment! W*F do you mean by "aunty type" role? THIS is the reason why actresses have such a tough time in the industry. Because of such mentality. "Aunty Type" - and in any case...what's wrong with aunty type? Makes it sound so demeaning!

She is aged girl. she is playing no aunty type role. She is playing as a aged girl which she is.

My point is - what IS wrong even if the role is so-called "aunty type" ? IF it's a great part, why wouldn't she do it! We need to stop labelling women characters as "aunty type" "mother type" etc
