A Baahubali like telling might not go down well with KJo directing it, same with SLB so he can get his own flavour to a historical. It can be a grand film, sure but a subtle one at it without OTT stuff. At the end of the day, all audience wants is a rivetting film and given how there is a lot of hoopla around the writing, one could wish for the best.

I think rs is balancing out his films well, there are 3 non historical films rs is doing in-between padmavat and takht, simmba, gullyboy and 83, takht I assume is gonna release towards the end of 2020, so that will be a 3 year gap between padmavat and takht

I guess rs took this opportunity to work with kjo coz it may not happen again, rs has said many times he wants to work with kjo

Btw movie sounds supremely boring. For the first time I felt no interest whatsoever in a KJO film announcement. ADHM was trash but overall it sounded much more interesting.
