Not denying that. But he was always in the top league even after being a difficult person to work with (during his drug abuse phase) only coz of the goodwill his father had and also how public his mother's ailment n suffering was in her final days. Him losing her just before his movie premier made a permanent impression on peoples psyche and that sympathy never left him..not even now.

Believe it or not sanju is a good person too, there is not a single person in the industry who doesn't have a story to tell on how sanju helped them in their difficult times. His father actually rang up producers to let them know that he is on drugs and to not cast him, that takes guts! So kudos to him! I will say if Sanju's family helped him in his stardom, then unfortunately it's the very same family that got him into trouble, people who follow politics would know that the whole gun controversy was because of sunil dutt's political rivalry. Not to forget that his childhood was very harsh too, he was put in a boarding school against his will where he faced extremely severe punishments and bullying, and thats where the drugs actually started, and then a few years later losing one's mum would not have helped. I don't know of nargis or sunil much, but I like him because he is a very good actor and he fought all his demons with flying colours.

Yes I have heard many many stories of him helping people and him being a dildaar guy.

He was an overpampered child. His mom spoilt him rotten and all her discipline was restricted to her daughters while her firs4th born was absolved of anything n everything he did. That was the reason why his father packed him off to the boarding school but it only agitated little sanjay and made him further distant from his father. It was one of tge decisions Sunil dutt took without consulting Nargis or without her approval. For good or for worse things panned out in Sanjay's life according to the destiny. He looks very lost n restless these days. Hope he finds his peace.

yes he does at times look restless, anyone would be after the crap he went through, he had quite a bit of restlessness in him after his first jail release too tbh. Restlessness does seem like a part of his personality and the harsh jail term and the media bashing wouldn't have helped.

He should seek therapy or help. There is no shame in doing so when one is feeling burdened or unwell. He has improved a lot as an actor and have it in him to contribute to movies for some years atleast but he isn't looking great. The zest for life is missing even when he is with his kids. He should gather his thoughts and channel them in a better way. Hope he gets help n peace.

He seems very happy with his kids and his wife, and I think his acting was amazing in bhoomi, as for looking good, if the role will require it, he will work on it, everyone ages, so has he, he may have aged more because of his circumstances, but he is still a very good actor. He is a very strong person, not that i am against therapy, but his mental strength is something else, books should be written on it, I think he has done amazingly well even after the crap he went through, if one watches his work, or even his offscreen interviews in the 90s and 2000s, no one would say he was a convict for 1.5 years and that too in a 6 by 6 terrorist cell.

Exactly. My parents loved him a lot. And I am glad I could watch so much of his work in the cinemas myself. Sanjay dutt has been relevant with almost every generation starting from the 80s to now.

Leading actor? Flop tha.

Clean hits as leading man( Date available from 94 only at BOI)

99- Daag the fire
03- Munnabhai
06- Lage Raho

25 years- 3 clean hits as leading man and before that he might have 4 or 5 more clean hits.

Don't get carried away by Sanjus narrative made by his best friend and please don't insult Salman. He went to Jail for only 6 months after Khalnayak, had multiple flops every year. Didn't miss one single year. Was playing second fiddle to Govinda. Was never the next Amitabh. That's a joke.
