Sorry but no way Madhuri deserves any award for the giggly girl in HANK, no matter how much iconic it was. And she definitely wasn't better than Alia in Raazi. And Raazi wouldn't have worked and went on to become a blockbuster had Alia being the worst thing about it as some of you guys are trying to make it.


That hate word was not exclusively for you, maybe you don't like her existence as a BW star and its okay, but for this "Lets all Oppose Alia" camp. Hate maybe a harsh word, but there is some disgust or urge among people to throw Alia under the bus because she is the Dhrama poster child, the so-called daughter of Kjo. Even when she shows up in two ads, people are like "God she is everywhere, thrust down our throat". People have difficultly to accept that Alia is indeed popular in India and it's not just BW people hyping and creating an illusion but aam janta also likes her and she has a fan following. For them everything about Alia is manufactured, her fan following, people appreciating her acting, he popularity and so on, are all Kjo's illusion. People think Kjo created a fake aura around Alia while truth is no one cares for her. While reality is different, she is indeed a popular star, and people do go to watch her movies.

Yep she is. Her rustic and bold archie was a lot better than alia's ott performance in Udta punjab. All she needs is more oppurtinities and grooming. We all remember how terrible alia was in her debut. Tbh alia is a decent actress, sometimes she is good too, but many a times her acting is monotonous and her dialogue delivery is annoying. She seems like an annoying kid while acting lol.

I have watched more than five films of Alia and have loved her in most. So I don't know know who is better but I definitely enjoy Aloo's performances on screen. Rinku could be as good or even better, if we watch more movies it would be easier to compare.

Anyways bohut karli arguments with JustMoi, let me make my first on topic topic post: Rinku was better than Alia in UP or any movie of her.

even a madhuri dixit and sridevi can fell flat in SOTY in front of SAIRAT's role.

Sairat is iconic and so is Rinku's role regardless of what she does because it changed Marati cinema BO, made Marati cinema be screened in places where it has never been. That is an iconic movie.

So far none of Aloo's roles or movies are iconic though the fuss over her is laughable especially during Highway.

As for me, Vicky was the memorable one because despite not being in every scene he made an impression. He made me identify with him and his plight. Aloo had the meaty role, she was in every scene, it was about her. But Vicky was the one I felt sorry for because he was such a decent person. He was not perfect, not a goody two shoes, just an ordinary man who was a good son, who married whoever his father told him to, loved his wife and family, his country and had to make a terrible choice. Aloo for all the reasons she had, brave, father cancer, going as a spy did not make me sympathetic. She came across as manipulative and a user in the end especially which I don't think was the intention of the film. The ability to make an unlikeable character sympathetic is a hall mark of a good actor. Aloo made me fail to like her character or even sympathize, I was disgusted in the end. Was it intentional, the writing or her ? IMO she contributed to it by not making her character more sympathetic and identifiable and that is why she was not as good as Vicky for me.

Both Rinku and Alia are good. The ground for comparison is not equal. Alia is bigger heroine because Alia is in Hindi movie industry which is biggest industry in India. Rinku is regional heroine. Rinku made Marathas crazy about her. But outside Maharashtra and Sairat online fandom, she is unknown person.

Or rahi lathichargeki.baat toh lathicharge is not a parameter to measure andom.
