^^ Ermm why should I not watch it?😕 I can think whatever I want to and watch whatever I want to.

You liked the show, I dint.

I am not just comparing it against other gangster movies..but from an overall Netflix series perspective, there are tons which are better - Designated survivor, stranger things, orange is the new black, House of Cards and 13 reasons why etc (I think Crown and Narcos sucked too)

If they are scaling a show on an international level, Sacred Games will not get as much viewership from international audience, which has been proven as per a news article, that the Indians residing in India and abroad, tuned in to watch it, but the global audience isnt kicked about it..so it may be a start for India but it is yet to make its mark on global platform

Meanwhile, I would love to see all the top BW actors taking a shot at web series.

^I didn't mean that people should not watch it if they want to criticise about it. I meant it for people who might be looking for a suggestion to watch it or not. If the series is good or not and how it really is.

And yeah if you compare it with the best of the best - Stranger things, House of Cards.. then it won't stand maybe. But, and I have watched 2 years worth of regular-binge Netflix, I think it can be categorised as good content on Netflix. It stands with the other good shows, maybe not the best, but good. It's okay if you didn't like it. I was just saying that it's not same old because of the actor or the theme cuz the end product is very different. And it will appeal to people who like thrillers or crime genres or just good film-making.

Eh Crown S2 was nice.

Instead add Stranger Things Season 2 to the list.

Netflix Originals aren't all that they are made out to be. And beyond the 10-15 shows, everything else is pure trash. House of Cards and Mindhunter have a lot to do with the background team involved.

Sacred Games is pretty derivative, but it's still fun and different than your average Bollywood fare. It will be interesting to see if they can keep the momentum.

Yes. 13 Reasons why S1 was definitely better than both IMO. S2 is panned by most, but I thought there were some more shades and character development, though the ending was gruesome and I just feel terrible for Tyler..

I watched Crown for the aesthetics and terrific acting by Claire Foy and Venessa Kirby..IMO Venessa is the best actor of the series for pulling off Princess Margaret in style.

But as a show, it hits snooze button more often than not, atleast in S1. I was practically bored by episode 4, but kept dragging along. Probably because Queen Elizabeth is extremely boring and stoic herself.

I am waiting for the Diana episode to unravel in S4 or S5..that has to be the most explosive one and will clinch up the drama element.

S2 was marginally better on drama element

Not a Narcos fan, maybe I am not the right person to judge both Narcos and Sacred Games, coz I dont like that genre😕

Has anyone even read what they said? There is no way to judge a Web Series which is on a Private Website which doesn't show any stats like Views, Likes or even Dislikes for Video. Netflix doesn't share how many views SG has got which is true, all we see is media hype, which even films like Lootera, Bhavesh Joshi, Mukkabaaz & GOW Series had which is sure shot to come coz it is made by PHANTOM team who even if show a 2 hrs blank screen will get same reception from media & critics, blind praise even if they make shit product.

What BOI is judging is by those 2 Director - Anurag Kashayap & Vikramditya Motwani's FILMS performance in Theatres & on TV, which is DISASTER everywhere. The best any Anurag Kashyap film has ever got is AVERAGE Verdict. So BOI is keeping the same facts about this hype in simple manner.

On Web, You have freedom to say anything, show anything, obviously you gonna get that MASSY APPEAL which you can't see in films or on TV with Censorship.

Hating BOI won't make your stars bigger or better... It is still the only SOURCE of Real Box Office which everybody follows, their network is unbeatable.

Now coming to Sacred Games = Epic Web Series = The Encyclopedia of Fuking Awesomeness... If you haven't watched it... Go watch it... only those who loved GOW Series to core... It is not for the ppl who don't like swearing / gangster theme drama... ⭐️
