Ranveer was not the lead actor in PV. He was the villain. So, how can he be nominated for lead actor? But I don't know, how they have considered Dhoom series. Were those actors nominated in the category of lead actors?

Comparing apples to oranges fetches nothing. Sanju and Khilji are so different from each other, IDK on what basis will the critics decide. Anyway, imho, Neither was Khilji the best of RS, nor was Sanju the best performance of RK. IDK why everyone likes these loud roles more. RK as Ved is his best acting ever and IDT he can ever top that coz that requires that kind of complex character. Funnily, for me, RS' best was also from the same year i.e. Bajirao. Personally, I sympathised the most with Bajirao when I watched the movie. It shook me to the core how Ranveer nailed the helplessness of the character. Bajirao Mastani might be a medicore movie but RS completely made it an enchanting experience, atleast for me. But, if I was a critic and had to choose for Best actor awards for these two performances, I would probably end up giving it to RK by 19-20 ka farak- Bilkul dil par pathar rakh kar.
As for this year. I see no basis of comparison.

you saw udta punjab shahid was playing neagtive role but hewas lead and he won for best actor filmfare so idont lnow what indian awards all about but ranveer was lead he was playing negative or postotve doesnot matter bec movie focus was on him
