It was probably just a general comment. I don't know how the desi media and fans have started this thing where any word uttered is a dig at someone. They turn even positive comments or jokes into digs.

Mahesh Bhatt isn't wrong anyway. The media has a habit of going crazy just from one or two hits when stardom is a long process and has a lot to do with consistency. Superstars are not built in a day.

But Ajay wasn't really relevant in BW until Golmaal and Singham movies.
He got majority of his fan following after these movies.
