I've seen it spelt like this sometimes. I think It's because the A sound comes from the throat. There are different A sounds in Arabic.

Both are correct. Most correct one is Qur'an.

Different people have different opinions on this topic. But there is no solid evidence of any hadeeth to support this theory, or any evidence of any kind of such practice during the time of Prophet. Women were never prohibited from reading the Qur'an.

Menstrual cycle is something absolutely natural, a woman has no control over it.

So it will be only unfair to her to be deprived of doing something which is rewarding because of something given to her by God only.

Honesty, I have never understood why a menstruating woman is not allowed to enter in the area of worship as per most of the religions and cultures all around the globe. So far I only know of Sikkhism where nobody has ever stopped me from visiting a Gurudwara just coz of my period.

There are many descriptions that apply to women like she's shy, sushil, guni while when we talk about men, men will be men (Imperial Blue ad) 🤔

Well I'm going on the Hanafi method which doesn't allow it. For that method you can't touch and read but you can recite parts you've memorised already as part of a prayer. Women also can't fast when they're menstruating but that's a privilege to the woman because she might get weak when she is fasting. It's not about menstruation being an awful thing or anything like that.
