Star kids get the most hate here... and it's almsot a sin to like a star kid

But glorying criminals like Sanju and Sallu is okay? No issues there ?

But Ranbir was amazing in the movie and it's his acting that's being appreciated, nothing else...that's what people are saying.

Y/day released a movie on the greatest freedom fighter & a respectable citizen of India, Sri Sanjay Dutt
He helped the country by hiding ammunitions inside his house. He was taking drugs to set a great example for our youth
He made over 300 girlfriends but married only thrice

Well if Sanjay Dutt is not movie royalty who is ? Son of not one, but two parents in the industry. His father directed him so what bigger launch could you get ? If people are glorifying Sanjay Dutt aren't they glorifying one of the biggest Star kids SH ?
As for Salman, Salim Khan cowrote Sholay. Royalty among writers. So starkid again.

If these two are being glorified it is because they are starkids it could be argued !! 😛

TBH, I loved the movie ONLY and ONLY because of the actors- mainly Ranbir, Vicky and Paresh Rawal. I don't buy the terrorist aspect at all. He may not have been knowingly involved in the bombings but I dont think he is as clean as they made him out to be.

But the actual movie itself was entertaining and a real treat to watch.

I didn't know Sanjay Dutt's story neither now after watching the movie. Because I have watched an engaging story which made me laugh, cry and what not. The acting of each actor was so glorifying that it completely made me forget about whose biopic I am watching. Sanju the movie is all about direction and acting first. Maybe the controversial life of SD comes then.
But Hirani and RK did a wonderful job. People like me is not interested in Sanjay Dutt's life story but highly interested in a Hirani- Ranbir combination.

Ugh! Can ppl just treat movies as movies and not some life changing event? Im pretty sure most of the ppl who hv watched the film still think Sanjay Dutt was wrong and the others im pretty sure dont bother as much. Im talking about general public. Most just watch the film, maybe think about it for a day or two and FORGET. Nobody would argue for Sanjay Dutt by using this movie as a reference, the idea of it is quite ridiculous. This is a biopic, meant to entertain...not a documentary. As for ur nepotism statement, it is an issue coz here careers are involved, not just acting but nepotism is an issue in every field. Because of nepotism, someone much more deserving is denied opportunities. So i dont get how that shouldnt be a point of concern.

Yeah same here...always thought Sanjay Dutt was wrong in keeping contacts w terrorists n still think the same...still think so...but the crazy thing is that fir those 3 hours, totally felt for this character...if this is not compelling acting/direction/writing/storytelling then I don't know what is...

In a country where a terrorist like Yakub Menon gets a heroic farewell, thousands of people attend his funeral; where Afzal Guru is considered as a martyr , I dont think making a movie to glorify another terrorist is a big deal 😳
Movies were not made to whitewash them, but they still had so many supporters 😕
