IMO Kahaani2 was as good as one but some reason didn't clicked maybe because it was too dark.

Although I agree sequels tend to suck.

The only sequel which completely satisfied me was obviously GOW2.

LRMB is Hirani's best work till date IMO. I'd rate that even above 3 Idiots.

technically none of the Hirani movies are that solid or pure. They are filled with flaws but what works for him is his story have a certain relevance and ground beauty. You don't need to have a taste for particular taste of cinema to enjoy them.
If you watch a Hirani movie without giving much emphasis on technicality of the screenplay and just concentrates on emotions they are the best thing out there.
