Sanju has taken an excellent opening of 45-50%. It has taken the third best opening of the year after Baaghi 2 and Race 3 in terms of occupancy. It is the best opening at metro multiplexes but the mass belts are a bit lower especially places like CI, UP and Bihar. The best opening for Sanju is Mumbai city, Delhi city and Bangalore.
Still there is a good chance that the opening day could be the highest of the year as Race 3 was pre Eid and collections slowed in the afternoon shows and also the advance for the evening shows for Sanju is very strong. Race 3 had collected 27.50 crore nett apprx on day one which is the highest opening day of 2018 for a Hindi film and Sanju has a chance to beat it. Avengers Infinity War is the highest opening of 2018 for any film at 31 crore nett plus and this is a tougher task for Sanju.
Baaghi 2 had the best opening in terms of occupancy but it does not come into the picture as far as the day one figures is concerned as it had far lower ticket rates than Sanju and Race 3 and also fewer screens.

9. Hichki - 22.5%
10. Raid - 20%
