That is what is missing here.

Dance is dance but its situational in movies. You cannot compare a song like Chikni Chameli where the actress IS PERFORMING...to a song pictured on random kids dancing. Thats like comparing aunties who dance at weddings to the kid who performs. You're comparing an item number to a party song? How is that okay? The intent is different. Also wasnt KJO behind Chikni as well>?

And yeah Karan has glamorized the song, whats wrong with that? Im sorry that Sairat verison looks pathetic and lazy 😆 Things have to be polished and presented properly. Do people here understand that This is a movie not REAL LIFE? If you want rustic reality then go watch a play?

Stop trying to make people feel bad for upping the production value and enjoying the upgraded glamours verision.. Not everyone wants to see movies and see it pictured in the slums.

As expected, not a patch on the original. Ishaan is fun though. He has the energy and charm to carry off crazy dance numbers. Jahnvi dances a lot better than what this video lets on though (based on the off screen vids).

Which play have you watched that has "rustic reality" ? I've only watched broadway plays and none of them were shoddy. They have high production values, authenticity and soul. I have seen community theater plays with more soul.

If Sairat looks pathetic and lazy instead of capturing how a real,commuity dance feels like I cannot describe it for you. Since when do movies not reflect real life ? where do the stories come from ? Even star wars is ultimately a story about a family not just a mega space opus. Karan is not telling star wars stories here or fantasy.. It is set in Rajasthan. In India. On earth. Some reality is expected. Not glamor, coordinated clothes and choreography.

You tell a story with heart does not matter if it is history set to different genres of music in the case of Hamilton or the new Harry Potter. Authenticity is what is missing with Karan and Dharma and unfortunately with Dhadak.

Then you stop putting down Sairat. It goes both ways. This is a shoddy take with no heart and soul for me. You find it glamorous. We shall agree to disagree.

Problem with KJO movies is they concentrate too much on how they look thereby sidelining the acting part.

While dancing , eating , laughing etc.. why the restraint.. be free..

Why concentrate so much on the glamour and looks when should be concentrating on acting!

Esp jhanvi felt like she is always aware that camera is on her and is restrained and reserved trying to always look good thereby hindering her dance moves and natural feel

& the replies are so expected & stupid..

Everything about Dhadak is miles better than that Sairat.

& as SH said.. this is an upgraded version of Zingaat due to higher production value.. totally enjoyed it!

Ishaan rocked the song.. Janhvi didn't had much to do in this song, as its about the guy trying to impress the girl.. but she looked pretty, gave good expressions, didn't go OTT.. & kept it natural.
