Exactly what Z said. Grief brings people together. Death is a reminder that life is short. Had Sridevi lived I doubt Arjun would have been this involved, or frankly even cared. But here we are.

The SK comparison is really unfair. SK needed to fix his image. There was serious PR problem there. Arjun wasn't suffering any PR problems. For every person criticizing him for not acknowledging his sisters (and I was one of them) there were ten other people supporting him and defending him. He didn't and doesn't need to do any of this.

The part where the reporter over excitedly asks Janhvi whether she has been to the sets of Chaalbaaz and she says she wasn't even born then and is not that old. 😆

I do think Arjun was angry. He was justified too I would say. As for changing the true test of a human being comes how they handle a crisis. But this is Arjun's true nature. He is a very good and protective brother to his sister Anshula, to Sonam and Rhea. So it is consistent with his character of being a good brother Just that it was extended to his half siblings.

Like I said, no one can quite understand losing a mom before their time at a young age, losing her before debut. A lot of things might have bonded Arjun and Jhanvi. Most of all Anshula who is a kind girl and gave up her career to be close to her brother has extended that to Jhanvi and Khushi. Arjun's actions seem consistent with that to me. These four kids have come up looking the best in this story with maturity, compassion, love, bonding in the midst of tragedy.

You just have to look at the Deol family to see how it could have turned out. It is thus heart warming to see someone like Shahid rush from backstage when his step mom won an award to hug her. BW consists of so many fake/PR relationships that I think when I see a genuine thing it warms my heart.

I am not putting Arjun on a pedestal. I am just acknowledging his humanity and his goodness. No one said he is perfect or he is a good actor because he changed his behavior. As for Salman, it is true he is a very good brother and son. Does not absolve him of his other faults. One can acknowledge the good in people while condemning the wrong they do. Life is not B and W.

I didn't expect it but I like her. A lot. She's humble and just has this very calm serene vibe around her...also her VOICE! it's been a while since such a soothing female voice in bollywood I love it

It's not the same thing, but it kind of reminds me of how SK after doing all the deeds, turned over a new lead. lol

If it's the case, it's not admirable but being cunning.

His father also essentially chose his two half-sisters over him and his sister, besides choosing another woman over his mother. It's not at all easy to put that behind you and stand behind your family who got the childhood you never really could. It's very easy to be resentful but it takes great strength of character to forgive and forget and build a new relationship. I don't think people would have faulted Arjun and Anshula if they chose to still stay away from Jahnvi and Khushi but that they were able to move past their hurt to unite is great. I'm sure it means a lot to Boney too that his kids have united and they're a family now. No matter how selfish I think Boney is, I'm sure there was an underlying guilt in him.

Omg I have been quite critical of her so far - BUT she blew my mind with this interview. Consider me a STAN. She can really speak Hindi - and so well. When he asked her if she's just name-checking Nutan, Madhubala, Waheeda etc the way she clapped back was amayze!! Yes, queen Janhvi <3

Okay but so? That's irrelevant to the point. Nobody is saying grief ALWAYS brings people close together, of course there are instances where it distances people, but clearly in this case it APPEARS to have brought them closer together, which is why it is a PLAUSIBLE understanding that their mutual grief connected them to each other. It's not a romantic thought, it's reality, for MANY, not ALL, I'm aware of that. No need to patronize me.
