i can't get the Dhadak song out of me. I thought and thought what is it about the song that moves me so deeply. Then it hit me. It doesn't feel like a happy song about love. It feels like a song about impending doom. about a love waiting to be ruptured.

Maybe ARR doesn't have time or his music won't really fit in the world of this film? Who knows...or maybe SRK said no.

Ranjhanaa was the last ARR album I loved in its entirety and I still think it's underrated. I remember ALR talking about how he kept sending ARR back to the drawing board as some songs he just didn't like.

Yup thats possible. ARR is doing very little work in Hindi cinema currently though. Most of his projects seem to be down South.

Oh I completely agree about how fabulous the album was. Every song was a gem. I know the title track and Nazar laaye na are most popular but I absolutely love Banarasiya. Underrated gem of a song ❤️

My favorite is Aise na dekho! ALR used the music to tell a story as well...it has been years since I've seen songs so well placed in a film and used so effectively. Typically they're inserted as breaks, but in Ranjhaana they were there to take the story forward.
