Bhai's star power at peak, despite all time negative WOM, and a genuinely poor movie, Bhai still did a 100 crores weekend.
And it is hilarious people are like let's wait till Tuesday. Arrey Bhai star power ka matlab thori na holding power hoti hai. The fact despite such negative reviews the movie still made over 100 crores, Eid or not Eid. It is still huge. Even if the movie does not hold after first week, it just shows on how bad the movie was (and it was not a good movie, let's be honest, Remo did a mess), and not a dent on Sally's star power. And that mc KRK who was going about Sally inflating his numbers has eaten the humble pie.
That being said , I don't want Sallu to work with these faltu directors and actually work in movies which are his best genre and that is the masala comedy action genre. I would happily lap the like of Ready, Bodyguard, Kick and so on over the anything like Race3.

As I said in another topic. The success benchmark for a Salman film should be higher than 100 crores. His biggest films and biggest hits are over 250CR's. He is in a different category than the rest, you cannot put his 100CR Race-3 against a 100-crore Raazi. Both films have different capacities and potentials. There was only a 4 crore different between Baaghi-2 and Race-3 - on Day-1 which is not much .

We have to look at the FINAL collections of Race-3 to determine how successful it will be.

I am not saying Salman isn't a big star, he is. But his level is different and hence the standards should be higher too. Getting happy over 100-crores for Salman literally means nothing cuz even that Punchnama guy has a 100-crore film. Yes it took longer, but still!

SH, I agree with your point, Sally's bench mark is no more just 100 crores but my post was not about that, it was that despite universal bad WOM, even ardent fans in the forum have given negative or mixed reviews, it did 100crores weekend.

See the reasons why Sally's other movies made big numbers is because they were decent or at least entertaining flicks.

Race 3 is a bad movie with very flaky script, with the amount of negativity, it would not have collected even 100 crores in its life time. But it did 100 crores weekend just 3Days, that is the life time achievements of the movies like Raazi and SKTKS.

No star has stardom to a level that even craps can be sold beyond a limit, but the astonishing thing about Sally is even his worst performance are bigger than than most actors best performance.

Even if Race3 fails to make beyond 150 crores, it would not reflect bad on Sally's part as he did his job as a star. Yes his script choice can be termed terrible but from now onwards it is all about the weak movie rather than questioning his stardom or saying he is waning.

Plus Sally cannot always make bad movies hit, especially when the budget is so high. But he has time and again proven that he has stardom enough to sell a bad movie beyond the 100 crores mark which is not possible for other stars, maybe other than SRK few years back.
