Race 3 had a low second week of 24.75 crore nett and took its two week business to 164.75 crore nett which is a decent total but Race 3 should have covered this in the first week. The drop in the second week is a huge 82% when it needed to be 70-75% on a worst case which would have taken it to the 200 crore nett mark or thereabouts

The second week collections are better than Jai Ho which was another Salman Khan under performer a few years back. They are also better than Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which was a HIT film and Race 3 has been rejected by the audience totally which was not the case with Jai Ho or Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

The collections of Race 3 till date are as follows.

Week One - 1,39,97,00,000

Week Two - 24,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 1,64,72,00,000 apprx

The plus for the film is the business in UP and Bihar and without these markets the film could have capitulated in the second week which was a likely scenario considering the rejection.

The film has done almost 30% of its all India business in UP and Bihar in its second week when the norm is 15% in these two areas. The downer is Mysore and Tamil Nadu / Kerala but that is sort of expected when a Salman Khan film goes wrong. These two markets prefer Aamir Khan or Shahrukh Khan or even Hrithik Roshan.

Box Office Collections: Race 3 Falls More Than 80% In Second Week

In any case, there has been a difference of half a decade each between Race/Race 2 and then Race 2/Race 3.

As expected, Race 3 fell big time in the second week as only 25 crores* came in. This is more than 80% fall if one compares this with the first week numbers of 144 crores. Frankly though, one would have expected even lesser numbers given the kind of word of mouth that the film had seen and the bashing that it had received. There were signs that the film won't collect more than 15-20 crore in the second week and hence even 25 crores* seems better than expected.

The film's collections currently stand at 169 crores* and now with Sanju occupying almost all the premium screens (with a huge overall count of 4000), Race 3 is pretty much out of contention. The film would cross 175 crores for sure which allows it an Above Average tag. However it has to be seen if by some luck the number could well reach the 180 crore mark as well.

There are talks of Race 4 being made with Salman Khan returning in the franchise. If that turns out to be the case, it would be quite surprising since the superstar wasn't really in his elements in Race 3 and hence for him to make a comeback in the fourth installment would be a wishful thinking actually.

In any case, there has been a difference of half a decade each between Race/Race 2 and then Race 2/Race 3. While Race was a loved film and Race 2 was also accepted, Race 3 has been panned. Hence for Race 4 to take off, one can well expect the makers to either go back to Saif/Abbas-Mastan combination or do something radically different.

did i do the right thing? NO! not doing anything at all might have been a better option

i was thoroughly confused through out the movie if that is actually a movie or a parody and i could never believe that this is part 3 of the race series which were actually decent action thrillers esp the first one which i saw 3 times in cinema and thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns and the grip the movie had

race 3 is a joke and the bigger jokes are obviously the directors and actors

remo is pathetic to say the least..let alone the entire movie..there is not a single scene which catches your attention or gives you the thrill in this so called action thriller

the cast is ..less said the better

Anil kapoor is the only one who acted and is easily the best thing in this otherwise mess of a movie..but how much can he alone save a sinking ship from tanking

salman sleepwalked and looked totally disinterested

the rest of the cast was unfortunate to say the least

jacki cannot act to save her life is common knowledge but to stoop lower than your already 0 acting skills..this is her worst performance..it is like her already bad acting is even worse..her expressions are ridiculous and dialogue delivery so terrible..she is only good for songs and dance and beyond that she cannot even deliver a simple scene properly

daisy is abysmal. She will never be a star no matter how hard salman tries..she has 0 qualities to be one and she has neither looks nor any talent for audience to stand her in even one scene,

The actor who played her brother..i don't think i can even waste my energy on describing how awful he was

bobby should seriously look for other career options..he looked tired and had a "W*F am I doing"expression through out the movie

such pathetic casting..my God!

and those flying scenes of salman..FACE PALM

songs were terrible too and would break in at any random point

selfish on daisy bobby looked straight out of a C grade movie

i just saw this and right after it i saw sanju and i literally in a single go saw the difference between a pathetic and a brilliant movie..and you need entire team to come together for that..salman thinks just his presence alone will make it work..well result is out for all to see..good actors and good directors are the key and make a world of difference
