But more than that Wat confused more was how Dan hardly payed any attention to her wen she was alive and healthy, but wen she went into a coma he literally became obsessed with her, it was very weird behavior from Dan, I wud hav been more convinced if he had feelings for her before she had the accident

That was all because of that one dialogue- 'Where is Dan?'. It might have been a casual question or Shiuli was interested in Dan and was looking forward to see him at the new year party but that question remained unanswered. Was it casual or out of interest? Why did she ask of Dan of all people? Why was her last word before the accident 'Dan'? I think it puts a lot of stress and inquisitivity on that person whose name was taken for the last time. That whole thought of 'Why my name' led Dan to slowly become obsessed with Shiuli. I guess his intentions were more to know why she took his name and that would only be possible if she recovered and then slowly while helping her to recover,he got habituated to it. Also, not to forget that Dan was treated badly at his hotel and was weird. And then to know someone actually showed concern for him (even if it was a casual question) automatically made Dan emotional for Shiuli. She was the only 'stranger' in the group of trainies who called out for him.

And when he got to know about her last coherent sentence was "Where is Dan?" it became a hook for him, in the process he discovered the purpose of (his) life...

Last name she uttered before dying was also Dan, last alphabet she wrote was also 'D', last person who saw?! her soul was also Dan ❤️
