I don't get the commentary on celebrity love lives. Sometimes the reaction by people is baffling to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if this relationship was orchestrated. While it is common to have relationships orchestrated before movies, I have a feeling Neetu Singh may have orchestrated this. She's very vested in Ranbir's career and relationships. The Kapoors are a bit elitist about their pedigree too. So it won't be surprising that Neetu nudged Ranbir towards the most successful pedigree in the industry and keeps inviting her to family events.

That being said I don't think Alia and Ranbir are the personalities that will be in a relationship for others. They were probably setup or nudged together by Neetu, but they most likely are dating because they like each others company. It will end in due time when Ranbir decides to move on or Alia realizes that she's still young and has a lot more opportunities ahead.

Either way, I don't know why the publicity of this relationship rubs people the wrong way. It is no more or less than many celebrity relationships.

I'm going to condense all my replies into this one post so forgive me for this being too long.

Dharmanaina, as a former Sidalia shipper I can relate to the backlash 😆 But for me it's a double whammy since I never liked Ranbir. Dude just gives me the heebie jeebies. I just checked the comments on that Pinkvilla article. Holi crap 😆. People are warning AB against Alia? Granted it's just a few people but it's still crazy, and frankly disturbing on many levels given AB's own reputation.

MEB, I don't think Alia is innocent or childlike. But I think she can appear that way. Even Sid had mentioned once that his mom finds Alia adorable and endearing. I do agree that she's very emotional. I mean the girl was bawling her eyes out over lunch at her movie set. I always got the feeling that Sid was always reactive to her nakhras sort of speak, that he would understand and be her sounding board. Both Alia and her dad referred to Sid as sensitive. Ranbir on the other hand has been referred to as detached.

RTH, I get your point. I think like everything else about celebrities their love life also serves as a form of escape from daily grind and stress of life. As long as people are respectful to each other and no one gets carried away I see no harm in it. As for why the PR aspect of this is bothering people? Because I think it is a lot more than all other PR relationships. It's too many things happening too fast and all being sold to the public as some great love. Ranbir's reputation doesn't help, but I think had it been any other couple going at it this forcefully they would have still received the same backlash. Maybe things will change after Sunju's release. But then I also think a lot depends on how well Sunju does. Also after Sunju Ranbir and Alia will continue shooting for Brahmstra. So we could see slew of articles about Alia and Ranbir celebrating on set, or Alia is consoling Ranbir, again depending on how the movie does. Now what will happen in September when Ranbir starts shooting for Shamshera with someone other than Alia, that's the real question?

@ Zara...the only reason I reacted was because this is not the first time you have suggested directly or indirect that Ranbir is too old...and some of the fans(not you) call Ranbir names like Kaka and Ranboor and what not...and u guys don't bat an eyes..people are crazy to believe that they don't do the same thing that they accuse others of doing😆 sab ek thaili ke chatte batte hain...bus apna number lagne per Mahatma ban jaate hain😆...Zara u are actually the sweeter one of all the fans but still u also took diigs at Ranbir's age...and that is why my reaction...and instead of accusing me about silly things that why bring Ranveeer/DP ina thread where their own fan brought them...why not just counter me...😃...everyone on this forum is guilty of bringing unrelated people in a thread...In the Deepu's thread in that France week..I can't even count how many times Kat was brought in to be mocked and bashed...fir kya hua??

Listen we're not computers who are programmed with the same software. Not every single Ranveer fan thinks or feels the same way. There are times that I disagree with what another Ranveer fan might feel. I've never brought up SRK or Kat if it wasn't relevant so don't pass unfair judgement like that. If you do see it happening then call out that particular person. Also just coz I like Ranveer I have to hate Kat and SRK? Why?! I actually like them. This business of coming after any random fan and attacking them, putting words in their mouth/twisting their words, ignoring the context of their posts is wrong.
