Let me clarify first that I'm neither a PC fan (though I admire her acting and do think she's a talented actress) nor her hater and no offence to her fans. I'm asking this question after the extreme backlash against PC in Twitter for the Quantico matter and her BW comment about boobs and hips. I've seen many tweets of people saying that they'll boycott her films and she shouldn't come back to India. Do you think this backlash will tide over? Will her market be affected?

I'm asking out of curiosity as I felt that perhaps Twitter may represent a very polarised view. So wanted to get your opinions as well.

You must be new if you think anybody's careers get over after such controversies. She will back in form in 3 to 4 months or so. Though I guess temporarily she has lost the respect she garnered. But her desh bhakti PR in overdrive will put her back in shape in no time. What more, she is doing a movie named "bharat." The sheer irony at this point, but will work in her favor in the future.

Twitter threatens to boycott half the actors in BW. It doesn't have much effect. If they think a movie is entertaining enough, they will watch regardless. They also have short memories. If she had a movie releasing tomorrow, it might have an effect. They won't be able to maintain the rage for a year. 😆

Bhai also sucks up big time to the BJP and has for years and his next movie is patriotic on top of that and titled Bharat. She can ride his coattails.

Her career will obviously slow down and already has but that's from age and audience fatigue and not anything else.

The day she will be super jobless like Bipasha Basu, Amisha Patel, Esha Deol or Lara Dutta, her career will be over like them but for now she is still getting movies.

Nah she will always get films! She has her PH too to work hard at. PC wilo always be a superstar, she has achieved more than enough to ensure that.

No...and if I know PC she will use this opportunity well at another shot at Hollywood which she had almost given up on.

She will definitely never not be offered movies that is for sure. I do feel that with the influx of newer faces , she will face competition for movies so she should be more invested in BW if she wants to retain her position.
