Salman Khan Fat-Shames A 42-Year-Old Woman Proving His Sense Of Humour Is As Low As His IQ

While most celebrities try to stay away from controversies, Salman Khan, on the other hand, seems to love being in the news for all the wrong reasons. Instead of trying to avoid saying and doing things that can potentially land him in trouble, the Bollywood star is doing just the opposite.
So, when you have the nerve to make callous comments, you also need to be ready for the following backlash as well. After all, what goes around comes around!
At times, he compares his exhaustion from a physically demanding shoot to that of a "raped woman and then some other day you discover that he disregards a child's consent. What person in their right mind fails to understand the meaning of rape or feels that it is okay to hug a child without his consent?
Yes, to all the Bhaijaan fans out there, I know the poor actor is always dragged into controversies. He is never at fault. He is as innocent as a kid. He is a 52-year-old man-child.
Maintaining his streak of imprudent actions, this time the multi-talented (when it comes to making a fool of himself) Salman Khan fat-shamed a 42-year-old woman on a dance reality show.
The actor publicly made fun of Meenal Dhapre's weight not just once but multiple times. However, the contestant was so stunned to see her idol Madhuri Dixit Nene before her, that she was oblivious to Salman's comments. But his harsh remarks did catch everyone else's attention.
It all happened when Meenal requested a hug from Madhuri before her performance. Madhuri obliged and the excited contestant came running when Salman said: "araam araam se, kahin stage na toot jaaye (Careful, the stage might just break). Besides the appalling comment, it was also shocking to see how all the other celebrities sitting there let this slide as a joke.
And that wasn't it. Looking at Madhuri and Meenal talking, Salman asked if they knew each other. To which the contestant replied that she comes from a 'chhota shahar' (small town). And since he is the representative of 'Being Human', he remarked how she could fit in there? Ironic isn't it?
Salman honestly, what the hell is wrong with you and your so-called comic sense?
After hugging Madhuri, Meenal promptly lost her balance and fell. We all probably would as well, if we ever saw our idols right before us.
Later on, Meenal gave an entertaining performance on Mera Piya Ghar Aaya from 'Yaarana'. All the while, Salman stood close to the stage and when she concluded her performance he said, "main wahan isliye khada tha ki aap kahin phir se tappa khaaker gir gaye toh?
He straight away compared her to a ball. How ignorant were the celebrities and the audience, who did not feel the need to call out Salman for his insolent and disrespectful behaviour?
If not for anything, just respect the fact that she can dance and you suck at that job literally. You might have found this funny, but your sense of humour is as low as your IQ.
Dear Bhaijaan, I know you can get away with anything, but how about showing some responsibility, as millions of people look up to you? Or let me guess, you don't really know what fat-shaming actually means. If that is the case, then don't worry, there are ways to enlighten people like you.
As per the Cambridge dictionary, here is the definition of fat-shaming (along with an example):
In case you feel Cambridge is not that reliable a source, then here's another one from Oxford:
But we are all ears to understand the meaning of 'fat-shaming' from Salman Khan's dictionary (because that seems to be the best reference book on how to get away with a crime).
Of course, Twitter lost it as well and trolled the 'Race 3' actor.

Or you can just apologise for once.
P.S. Don't ask your dad to do that on your behalf because it's time the man-child grows up.

Sultan of Bollywood Salman Khan is the Bigg Boss of Indian TV too. Undoubtedly he is one of the top players in the Bollywood race, and ruling the small screen with his charisma and wit comes naturally to him. Whatever he touches turns into gold.
Not all channels can sign him for a show though, as there is only one Salman Khan, but they are ready to pay any amount to have him as a guest on their reality shows, even if it is for promoting his own film.
He has graced the opening episodes of so many TV shows that we have lost count. He recently appeared in the opening weekend episodes of Madhuri Dixit's new dance reality show Dance Deewane, and left many of his fans among audiences and contestants floored.

And surely, he did give us loads of entertaining moments (like dancing with 7-year-old Alok on Jag Ghoomeya and re-creating Hum Aapke Hai Koun! moments with Madhuri Dixit). On his part, he was trying to make the aam aadmi feel better by acknowledging their requests and dancing with them on stage, by giving them standing ovations and the brightest of smiles.
While all of this was awesome and we loved how he connected with his fans and other people, one particular segment in the show left a sour taste in our mouths. Since the show invites contestants from three generations--children, youth and adults, one of the contestants was 42-year-old Meenal Dhapre, a huge (no pun intended) fan of Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan. Before her performance, she requested a hug from Madhuri Dixit and she obliged.
Excited, she came running from the stage in Madhuri's direction. At this point Salman Khan said--"araam araam se kahin stage na toot jaaye," meaning it to be a fun comment. The overwhelmed fan couldn't stop interacting with Madhuri, and at this point Salman asked if the two knew each other from before. Meenal said that she's from a 'chhota shahar' and Salman remarked how she could fit in there, and gave her a hug. In all the excitement, she however fell from the stage, and when she finally returned for her performance on Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, Salman kept standing near the stage saying "main wahan isliye khada tha ki aap kahin fir se tappa khakar gir gayi to."
The lady in question might not have taken these comments otherwise, but is it okay to say "aap tappa khakar gir gayi to" as if she is a ball, or for that matter make the reference about the breaking of stage with her weight? Is it not possible to treat a girl on a heavier side normally and not make her conscious about her weight all the time?
It is because of her talent that she's here, not to add a comic element to the show. Guess, Salman should have given it some thought before uttering those words. And those around him shouldn't have supported him by staying silent.
Salman, do you even remember what you said to Priyank Sharma in Bigg Boss 11 when he fat shamed Shilpa Shinde (calling her a saand)? Will you say the same things to your mom?
Salman Khan fat-shames a 42-year-old woman on a dance reality show and it's so not fair!
Salman Khan is controversies favourite child they say. But hey, if you make crude, insensitive remarks then get ready to face the backlash too. The Race 3 actor made headlines with his rape remarks during Sultan promotions. The actors recently faced Twitterati's ire for disregarding a child's consent and now Salman is in news for fat shaming a 42-year-old talent on dance reality show...
Salman Khan is not new to controversies; die-hard fans of the actor argue that the superstar is naive. Some even defend the actor by calling him a man child. And those who worship the actor feel he's the man with a golden heart. Well, guess the actor who is known for his philanthropic work Being Human, forgot to be one recently during one of his Race 3 promotional events. The actor was on a dance reality show with co-star Jacqueline Fernandez where he thought that his crude remarks on a 42-year-old lady's weight were funny. Salman was clearly fat-shaming this contestant, who seemed oblivious to Khan's insults as she met her idol Madhuri Dixit Nene on the show.
42-year-old Meenal Dhapre was subjected to humiliation by the actor when she requested to hug Madhuri ahead of her performance. Strangely, it was passed off as entertainment. In one of his unfunny comments, Salman said, "Araam araam se kahin stage na toot jaaye (Careful, the stage might break). Dhapre after sharing her moment with the Kalank actress returned towards the stage, lost balance and fell down.
As Meenal performed to Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, Salman stood close to the stage and at the end of the act remarked, "Main wahan isliye khada tha ki aap kahin phir se tappa khaaker gir gaye toh?. Salman was comparing Meenal to a ball, of course again indulging in some rather below the belt remark. The actor found "his audience guffawing to the so-called "wise crack.
That's not all, Salman at one point in time asked if Madhuri and Meenal knew each other. When an excited Meenal refused and said how she belonged to a 'chota shehar' (small town) to which the actor actually dared ask her if she could fit in there, making another uncalled for comment about the lady's weight.
Dear Salman, we know you're the poster boy for fitness even at 50, but that does not give you any right to joke about people's weight. And it's clear that you do not know the meaning of fat-shaming, so here's a quick and simple definition that will help you understand the term and your folly better.
Noun: fat-shaming
The action or practice of humiliating someone judged to be fat or overweight by making mocking or critical comments about their size.Adjective: fat-shaming
Expressing mockery or criticism about someone judged to be fat or overweight.Verb: fat-shame
Cause (someone judged to be fat or overweight) to feel humiliated by making mocking or critical comments about their size.
And even after this if the Race 3 star fails to understand why we're offended, maybe he could take a lesson or two from his sister Arpita Khan Sharma's this Instagram post..
This isn't the first time Salman is news for his outing on Dance Deewane, the actor and his co-star Jacqueline faced heavy flak on social media for failing to understand the meaning of consent.
