Bhumi to star in KJo's next alongside Kareena, Akshay and Rajkummar?.

The Bhumi Pednekar-Karan Johar friendship
has now resulted in a professional union.
Buzz has it that the Dum Lagake Haisha star
will join the cast of the upcoming Dharma
Production film, which stars Kareena
Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar. Bhumi is
pegged to be paired opposite Rajkummar
Rao in this Raj Mehta directorial.
The film, which is said to be a relationship
saga, will see Bhumi and Rajkummar play
the other two important characters in this
Karan Johar production. Kareena and
Akshay are reported to start shooting by
the end of this year. Previously there had
been rumours that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi
Kapoor would essay the roles of the
younger couple; however as it did not work
out, Bhumi and Rajkummar will now fill in.

Productions' untitled next?
On May 25, we were treated to images of
Karan's birthday celebrations in New York.
Bhumi was also among his circle of friends
partying together. She had even shared
images and a video from the birthday
celebrations, writing, "Happy happy
birthday @karanjohar ..You're just the best.

Earlier this year in February, Bhumi and
Karan had flown to Germany to represent
Indian cinema at the Berlin International
Film Festival. Bhumi had shared that she
was most honoured and humbled to be
invited by the Berlinale. "The fact that I will
represent India and its evolving cinema is
itself a huge moment of pride for me, she
had declared.
Bhumi, who has been praised for two back-
to-back hits Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan both of which
delivered entertainment with a message
also featured on the Forbes India's 30
Under 30 list. Counted among the most
promising talents in Hindi cinema today, her
Dharma film is sure to give her career the
added boost it needs.
Most of Bhumi's films so far, including her
upcoming Son Chiriya opposite Sushant
Singh Rajput, have been shot in the Indian
hinterland. It will be interesting to see how
her upcoming Karan Johar film will project
her.
