I think she had a great career and still look good today just as good as she did back then. I think the reason she is not doing movies now is because her supposed comeback film did so horrible. Had the movie been a hit I suspect Karishma would be doing movies but I think since it didn't she convinced herself it's better she doesn't and focus on other things.

I don't think she was as popular as a Madhuri or a Sridevi. Her fan following is also much lesser than the other contemprories. She might have ruled for few years. But none of her roles are iconic or something. She has mediocre roles in her kitty. She doesn't have an aura of a Madhuri or Rekha either. Now she looks pale and aged compared to an Ash or Kajol. Her sister Kareena is quite famous now then what she was during her peak.

Karisma had some big hits to her name and IMO she worked her ass off to build her name. I personally think barring shilpa she has aged well but is underweight. She seems pretty introverted and this day and age, that doesn't bode well for success.

Karisma Kapoor is waste of audiences time and a useless actress who doesn't even know the basics of acting. She's made a career out hamming and acting childish even the good films she starred in. Her two comebacks were an EPIC fail with pathetic acting which didn't work for her so what's the point?

I never liked her acting in the first. Rest of 90s heroines were miles better than her whilst she was just irritating.

Anyway her mother worked her like a slave and got her married off to the wrong guy. I genuinely think Kareena being more famous than her doesn't phase her because she is done with that part of her life. See in many events, people scream for Kareena's photo and Karisma stands in the background, its so sad. Then again she seriously looks like she couldn't care less.

yeah I think not being part of blood actively but still enjoying the company and friends is her way of sticking it to everyone who enslaved her when she was a young teenager. She is not fazed at all she doesn't seem attention craving like other people
