Kangana Ranaut believes she is in a league of her own.After a string of flops, the actress is all set to appear on celluloid as Jhansi Ki Rani in Manikarnika' that releases later this year. The shooting is complete and the post-production work on the film is currently underway. The film has been shot on a monumental canvas and has a lot of VFX involved.

A box office insider told us, "The makers have spent over Rs 80 crore on Manikarnika. It's not even funny that they decided to spend so much money on Kangana. Even a film like Simran' made on 30-35 crore tanked without a trace. No matter how great the film is, it is almost impossible for the film to recover the money. It has to do a minimum Rs 150 crore business at the BO to break even.

They needed to hire lots of Therapists throughout the shooting. To make sure Kangana didn't go off the rails 😆

They added/reshoot some scenes, I believe. there was an article not long ago commenting how, after seeing Padmaavat's success, the team decided to increase the action scenes or change some stuff.. Article was surely in last 20-30 days.
Any changes and delays cost money.

Budget is not that huge, when compared with other big budget movies. What's more important, though, is that the script is good and the movie clicks with audiences. If it does, no reason why it shouldn't get to 100 cr +.

more than actors

iam always worried about the directors.They have a passion to tell a story and be heard.Actors sign on something next

but directors face a lot of heat

Jhansi ki rani will not work n its not beco of kangana

Indians r not interested in watching history esp the time where we had served as slaves..the freedom fighters fought but they could not win...all films from bhagat singh to mangal pandey to chiitagong have crashed badly at BO sstill makers do not learn their lessons...these kind of films make a mockery out of us they dont make us proud...heavy dialogues..over the top characterizations..songs this does not happen in real life...dont mix history with entertainment
