Jungle Book was better. WB means darker movies. I am not a fan of dark movies. Also WB has fascination with grainy scenes. People associated are good but still not sold. May be it will ride on Jungle Book's success.

Apparently this is based on the book that came out in 1894 and not the kid friendly version of Disney. So I'm excited to see what the actual story is.
I liked the trailer... it was dark and mature. And of course directed by Serkis.

Trailer looks fine, The movie is shot at real locations and not a studio, so the cinematography looks more real. Mowgli is a teenager here, and looks more like Tarzan. Although, not really interested in this movie. We don't need another Jungle Book movie in just two years. Though it looks very different from Disney's Jungle Book, which is good.
Disney's Jungle Book was based on the 1967 animated movie.
This movie is based on Rudyard's Kipling original book, which had a darker story, so kids are not going to like it.

Most likely it'll Flop in US and Worldwide. But let's see how much business it does in India. Don't be surprised if it breaks Infinity War record in India. Indian audience anyway loves to watch the same story again and again. They might see this movie as a sequel to Disney's Jungle Book, with a grown up Mowgli.

Funny thing is that, this is the real Mowgli and Jungle Book story which most of the Indian 90s kids have grown up with. Not the Disney version, but Disney cashed on the nostalgic value of the Anime Jungle Book version, and kinda fooled the audience.
