Fans have declared Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor as the best jodi of the first quarter of 2018, courtesy their beautiful chemistry in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. While the film turned to become a humongous hit at the box office. Looks like Deepika and Shahid have equally managed to make an impact on the audience. If Deepika looked like a dream as Rani Padmaavati then Shahid ensured to compliment her with his majestic pride as her husband Maharawal Ratan Singh. Of course, initially many had apprehensions about Shahid playing Deepika's husband but guess after watching the film, people are convinced that there couldn't have been a better choice than him. No wonder, Deepika too had once mentioned, "Padmaavat wouldn't have been the same without Shahid. And the fact that this verdict has come despite knowing that the film also starred Ranveer Singh who is known for complimenting Deepika the best, only suggests how the audience was longing to see Deepika opposite another actor on screen. That way, Shahid and Deepika can be a great bet for filmmakers in the future, now that their chemistry has been approved by fans!
