Whatever happened to Arjun Kapoor?

So I was watching the interviews Arjun did during Mubarakan promos bc of Anil.

So while watching Anil mentioned something about Arjun from Ishaqzaade that made me go and see those videos from Ishaqzaade era again and it struck me why the heck has Arjun aged so much in in just 5 years? I never realised that before, also he has gained weight from then to even Ki and Ka (and since not lost it) excessively. He really appeared to be fit in Ishaqzaade what made him let go so much ?
He actually looked decent back then now he looks just like his useless father Boner 🤢

It is probably due to his health problems. I remember reading it somewhere before. He is a nice person and underrated actor as well. I hope he gets the success he deserves.

I agree with you OP, he was hot in Ishaqzaade.

an obese person who loses weight too soon has to always keep his weight in check and never let loose or else all that comes back way too soon

What health problem?

Arjun speaks really well, rarely do you see him give W*F statements or being incoherent or trying too hard. His acting is not that bad, given a good director, he does well, needs focus and good scripts.

very true Arjun knows the art of speaking very well. I have watched many of his interviews with Anil, and even he said this.


As for his health issues Sonam once said that Arjun did not have an easy life and that he was suffering from obesity and asthma as a child. She said he is still battling asthma but I am sure he must have other issues as well considering how obese he was.

Well, to start off with, Arjun wasn't just fat before, he was obese. The only reason he looked lean in Ishaaqzade was because his weight was his only goal back then. He had no other responsibilities or professional commitments so he was able to solely focus on just his weight loss. But, since then, his mother passed away, he took responsibility of his sister, he probably is the primary income source in his family, Sridevi passed away recently so he has to be there for his dad, etc.

On top of that, Arjun suffers with Asthma. Rigorous workouts are extremely difficult for asthma sufferers as shortness of breath can trigger them.
