Why is he being a hypocrite? Is it wrong to avoid talking about it? The recent rape case is so horrible to even talk about seriously. He could so emotional and disgusted to even comment. I also avoided the news initially cos it's very very very disturbing. :(((

Being the brand ambassador of " Beti padhao, beti bachao " , it is atleast expected of him to condemn this heinous act like many bollywood stars did , but looks like he doesnt wants to upset the higher ups.

Let him continue living in his bubble. He's too old ro be reformed now.

Not commenting on it now would not mean he doesn't condemn the horrible act. Plus him condemning won't change anything. The law has to change in India. What can these celebrities even do? They aren't the one governing the country or the one passing laws. When the ones who are at a power to change law in India is quiet, how can we blame these celebrities?

Hmm. I won't call this hypocritical on a human level. So many people in my family shut down this talk because honestly it affects you badly. But I know how incredibly traumatized they are. However, as the campaign face he shouldnt have said 'dont talk about it'. Bachchan though is mostly always politically inclined so maybe he doesn't wanna piss people off. Anyway,who even cares. Whatever anyone says,the rapes keep happening,again and again and again.

So when should we talk? Should we wait till something happens to our dear ones? Silence will only embolden the criminals. Keeping silence has brought us at a place where babies as young as 8 months are not safe anymore. Cops/minister who are supposed to protect are the ones who are committing the crimes. This is not the time to feel disgusted and keep silence, but raise our voice and change the system, he being a prominent voice.

I disagree. If he won't talk now then when? Is there ever a proper time to talk about rapes? As an individual I understand his reason for privacy but if he's a brand ambassador then his job is to promote awareness. Unless the real reason is he doesn't want Sayali or Amrita or someone else calling him out
