Alia wasn't technically paired opposite him, so he did not mind it. I really wonder what the Khans will do as the current crop of actresses age and girls of their daughter's age enter films. Like some of these newbies will actually be a part of Suhaana's friend circle.

I love EV tbh. A relatable subject done right. And one director who understood subtle understated romance. Gauri tried to create something similar with Alia and SRK. The whole simmering attraction between the unlikeliest of people where so much is conveyed to the audience without verbalising the feelings. Unfortunately it didn't have half the impact despite SRK's charm. The other film which got subtle attraction and love right was RDB with the Sidharth Soha track. You don't have to scream unrequited love or drill the not so happy ending to the love story like KJo did with ADHM and still make more impact on the minds of the audience. That's what Gauri achieved in English Vinglish.

I have heard, Anil and Sharukh had some differences during Trimurti. (That time Anil was bigger than Sharukh). But that must have been long ago. I don't know, what kind of equation they have now.

But I felt, Anil was closer with Salman than other Khans. (Even then Salman did not prefer to work with Sonam, as she was his friend's daughter).

Anil did mention, he did not have good equation with some and that costed Sonam. I don't know whom he was referring to.

Well Rajini is romancing Amy Jackson who is a lot younger than both his daughters. Impossible is nothing 😆

I don't think SRK and Anil/Sonam have any issues. He went to Sonam's Diwali party in 2017 and when Gauri designed that new restaurant, Anil Kapoor was one of the guests. Gauri hardly follows any actresses on instagram but Sonam is one of them and she's always liking her posts too. Anil's brother Sanjay Kapoor is one of SRK's best friends and not one of those fake friends either - they've been close for over 25 years.

He hasn't worked with anyone he saw as a kid except Alia and they definitely had no romance.

Maybe it's just bad luck. Nothing has probably come up where Sonam would work out but I won't be surprised if she gets a movie with him soon. I think all the Khans know they can't work with anyone younger than that. Girls who are in their late 20s or early 30s is about as low in age as they can go now.

SRK came onboard for DZ long after everything was finalized. There were multiple rumors & blinds that he was utterly unimpressed with Alia during the workshops for the film and he wanted her replaced. Instead the movies' start got delayed. KJo never wanted Katrina, Gauri did. I don't think Sonam was ever in the running.

^SRK loves Alia as an actress so I don't think those rumors of being unimpressed are true. If you watch DZ interviews, it's obvious from the way he speaks that he thinks she's really talented.

I *think* Sonam was considered for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi a long time ago. Adi considered her but ultimately chose Anushka. That's why Karan Johar was up in arms about how 'ugly' Anushka is because he wanted Sonam in it. I don't think SRK had anything to do with it.

The only other movie I think Sonan was considered for was Zero. Kat's been giving interviews saying Anand Rai really fought for her and believed in her so it was not that role. It must have been the role Anushka got so Anu won twice over her. 😆 ALR has a good relationship with Sonam so maybe he wanted her but SRK preferred Anu.

I think that's why she got annoyed and made that comment that SRK doesn't want to work with her. 😆

Sonam lost out on 4 films because of SRK. RNBDJ, DZ, Raees, and Zero. Don't know what his issue is, probably that Sonam doesn't flatter him enough. Anyways, her current lineup barring Dutt seems more exciting anyways.
