Ehhh arranged marriages most definitely aren't on a quid pro quo basis in India. Not in the urban spaces atleast! I see not much of a difference actually, nowadays, when it comes to a love or arranged marriage- Usually we all know look for the same basic things, and I say this as someone who doesn't really see arranged marriages in her family. 😆 I used to feel the same way until I begun looking around & didn't see that much of a difference in either of the format of marriages, ultimately. Neither is one more successful than the other, like many things in life, it really is the luck of the draw... That said, Ayush obviously married Arpita because of her brother since he probably knew that Bhai is a massively emotional fool who will move heaven & Earth to get beloved sister's cherished husband, a movie. Arpita is... Not good-looking/attractive AT ALL, and Ayush comes from a political family & is better looking than her. Works for both. Whatever it is, I hope Ayush's careee somehow takes off so that Arpita doesn't have to keep walking upto Salman & borrowing his credit card.

Lunza: Lol yes and according to BIs, it was Arpita who found out that her ex Arjun, was banging her Bhaabi, Malaika Arora Khan. 🤣 Lmaooo total filmy plot!! Since then there have been numerous BIs as early as last year on Malaika's Birthday about how Arjun flew In to whichever beach destination she & her BFFs went to. Also have been many many rumours that she was with Arjun years before her divorce to Arbaaz. 😆 😆 No wonder it's said Salman can't stand her. 😆

Jo_March: So true!! I also feel NRIs harbour these misinformed notions that Indians are out to get them/want to marry them for a better life/Green Cards and I don't see lot of that. Lots of Indians in the urban spaces who are well-educated, even if they aren't well-to-do/well-travelled, do not have these thoughts or have intentions to marry NRIs just because they're American/British citizens. It's a very 80s-90s thought to have. Very strange & amusing. 😆

^^I think a few BIs said the same things you have said. 😆 😆 , Idk man, I think BW is an incredibly bizarre place + these things sound completely dramatic but maybe aren't so in reality + we don't know what their real relationships are like etc... Who knows!!! But yes, it's bizarre to the extreme!

Jo: Ya, it amuses me massively. 😆 😆 Whether it be the old NRIs or the younger generation like us, they say the same things!! When they come to the developed cities, they are shocked at the availability/progress. All the NRIs in my family atleast are. 😆 But this weird superiority neves ceases to amuse me! 😆
