Yami in Woh Kaun Thi Remake

Just a couple of days ago it was reported that Shahid Kapoor who is currently shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu had been roped in to feature in yet another KriArj film. In fact, reports claimed that Kapoor had been roped in to feature as the lead in the remake of the film Woh Kaun Thi. However, now we hear that one of the founders of KriArj Entertainment, Arjun N Kapoor is planning on launching his Bollywood acting career with the film.

Though as of now no official confirmation on the same is available, sources close to the production house claim that Kapoor will in fact feature in the film. "Arjun N Kapoor is looking to launch his Bollywood career and what better way than with the remake of Woh Kaun Thi? The rights of the film have already been acquired and the lead actress of the film has already been finalized, revealed the source. Further talking about the project the source added, "As for Arjun's role in the remake of Woh Kaun Thi, he will be seen opposite Yami Gautam.

For now, with no official confirmation on the same, all that we can do is await an official announcement. As for the original film, Woh Kaun Thi featured Sadhana, Manoj Kumar and Prem Chopra.

After Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Yami Gautam may start shooting for Woh Kaun Thi remake

Buzz is Yami Gautam and Arjun N Kapoor will feature in the remake of Raj Khosla's Woh Kaun Thi (1964), which starred Manoj Kumar and Sadhana. Arjun, co-founder of KriArj Entertainment, makes his acting debut.

Meanwhile, talking about creating awareness about any burning topic affecting society, Yami Gautam said, "As an actor, it is a great opportunity for us to create awareness through films. Cinema is a powerful tool and there is more connectivity with people through them," she said. "We often talk about social issues in general but films help us pass on the message or remind people about certain things which are not good for society and must be worked upon," she added.

Yami, who also plays the role of a lawyer in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, said she does not have many cinematic references to fall back on except Rani Mukherji's role in "Veer Zaara".

Oh God let this be true. Yami holds no candle to Aishwarya in anything. I can only see Aishwarya do the role of Sadhana.. in which she looked the best! Only Aish can do justice to it.
