Why?

Let's take a look at Ranveer's struggle:

Ranveer grew up in affluence thanks to his wealthy businessman father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani.

Singh, who grew up in an affluent family in Khar, Mumbai, says they provide for everything, leaving his money untouched. "I have all the comfort that I need and it is mostly provided to me by my father and my family. Whatever I am making is pretty much there and ready to be invested.

After completing his schooling from Mumbai he went to study arts from Indiana University, USA.

His father funds his first film.

Sonam's cousin attended star studded birthday parties.

Schoolmate of superstar Salman's younger sister.

Dated dreamgirl Hema Malini's daughter.

The time that he debuted, his father was undergoing a huge financial loss. While he was very well-to-do today, he wasn't at the time & I doubt he is 'wealthy', as such. They had a very bad time. No, I very much doubt that he had he resources to fund his debut. Growing up/studying with wealthy/famous people doesn't necessarily make you the same. His struggle is very much for people to see if they wish to see it. And I don't even like him all that much anymore but he isn't an insider.

They also want struggle like this where they can chose not to do projects, so one day biggest movie house signs them for fresh face and even though owner of that production house who is shallow as it comes finds them uglyy , his best buddy who believes in dharma also find hemm ugly , still get to be lead actor where there dad definitely didn't invested money.

^^Lol naaah, I don't buy the non-indulgence in CC bit. He isn't related to a famous movie actor/producer, the ones he's related to would ever help him because it interferes with their children's career (HarshBurden & Fubu)
