Why did actors change their names in Bollywood? Was it because of superstition? Not just names but surnames too.

Some for Superstition while some of them didnt found their name to be Star-Like so they changed it to some Kaumar or Kapoor.

Then there is Akshay Kumar who changed his name (from Rajiv Bhatia) after making his first screen appearance in AAJ Starring Kumar Gaurav as Akshay.

The funny thing is that Kumar Gaurav, whose name Akshay Kumar has Borrowed, itself is not his real name. Kumar Gaurav's Real Name is Manoj Tuli
