Aishwarya Rai reacts to losing her cool at media: I knew the next day

In November last year, Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan along with mother Vrinda Rai and
daughter Aaradhya Bachchan had attended
an event organized by an NGO. She had
decided to honor her father Krishnaraj Rai's
love for children on his birth anniversary by
sponsoring surgeries for 100 children born
with cleft lips.
However, at the event, there was too much
chaos, owing to the lack of space and
commotion created by media-persons.
Aishwarya had requested the
photographers to remain calm, but they
started taking her photos and this bothered
the little children. After it became too
chaotic, Aishwarya lost her cool.
In an interview with a leading daily, she
talked about this incident and about dealing
with media attention. She explained the
scenario and why she lost her cool. She said,
"It's tough to explain. I understand what
was happening at that moment the media
wanted bytes and photos. But several kids
and their parents were in the room with not
enough space. While I am familiar with the
way things function, these kids and parents
are not used to dealing with such
excitement and got startled (with the
media's behavior). That's when I spoke up.
"I knew the next day the headlines would
be Aishwarya got upset'. I've never been
one to blame anybody and I don't. I try to
appeal to the humane nature of people in
times like that, Aishwarya said.
She recently attended an event a charitable
event and got emotional while talking about
her father's birth anniversary.
