I want to ask one simple question...
given the mentality of both Indian men and WOMEN :

could this film become a huge success?? it was never ever on the cards. Toilet was based on a national issue. 'Pad' was towards women empowernment and menstruation which many men won't even approve.

They should be glad enough that the film has atleast reached to 'success' tag which is a big feat in itself. Sadly the media shall not recognize it because 'akshay kumar' name's attached to it and they don't care about what the plot is, he has to deliever a blockbuster...but Akshay kumar is not bigger than a cause..and this film didn't find acceptance at huge level let alone appreciation..

jo bhi mila hai..woh kafi hai...

The movie did play a great part in creating awareness. I would take this film than any other 100cr films.

The more we talk about #Menstruation with our girls, the safer & healthier they will be. #MenstrualHygieneScheme of #MoHFW aims to increase awareness around #MenstrualHygiene among #adolescent girls.

This is just a tip. If you read news, you'll come across how every other day government, NGO's, institutions, individuals are taking initiative in creating awareness about menstruation in various parts of India.

Disclaimer: Not a fan of Akshay, Sonam, Radhika Apte, R. Balki, Twinkle Khanna, Swanand Kirkire or any other cast & crew of the movie Padman, maybe a fan of Arunachalam Muruganantham
