On Sunday, everyone woke up to the sad news of legendary actress Sridevi's death. Sridevi died due to cardiac arrest in Dubai on Saturday.
She was in Dubai attending her nephew's Mohit Marwah's wedding ceremony. The actress had a cardiac arrest and passed away at 54. She has been survived by husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
According to the reports, Sridevi was in the bathroom getting ready for a dinner with her hubby Boney Kapoor, when she suffered cardiac arrest. The mortal remains of the veteran actress will arrive in India today by Ambani's private jet.
Yesterday, Yash Raj Films issued an official statement on behalf of Sridevi's family. The statement reads,
"Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief. Late Sridevi Kapoor's body will arrive in India tomorrow.
Earlier reports suggested that the actress's body would be brought yesterday, but the latest report suggests that it will arrive today. The final rites of Sridevi will be conducted at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai.

Mumbai: The cause of Sridevi's death has been confirmed as heart attack, a forensic report from Dubai has revealed.
Official sources claim doctors have cited cardiac arrest as the cause of death, what is being reported since the shocking news came out, according to a The Times of India report.
Since the actress died outside a hospital, the police had to be informed and they will also register a case and investigate the cause of the incident, the report stated.
And considering the fact that the mortal remains have to be sent to another country, there are more formalities involved. According to the rules, the body is first sent to a morgue at Al Qusais and then to the General Department of Forensic Evidence. After they give the autopsy report and the death certificate, it is handed over the police for the final clearance, according to an independent journalist from Dubai.
That's probably why the procedure to bring back the actress' mortal remains is taking time considering the last rites were to take place in the morning on Monday.
The mortal remains will be flown back in a chartered flight arranged by businessman Anil Ambani.
