controversies usually find a way through
him. The actor has several times faced the
flak for his unattended comments.
In a fresh news today, a plea has apparently
been filed before a city court today seeking
FIR be lodged against Salman Khan, Katrina
Kaif
and others for allegedly using a casteist slur
against the scheduled castes during the
promotions of his last film Tiger Zinda Hai.
The plea has been filed before Additional
Sessions Judge Sidharth Sharma and alleges
that the accused persons had committed
"atrocity" on the members of the caste and
insulted them by making such remarks.
The matter has been put up for
consideration on February 27 and has
sought a reply from the Station House
Officer concerned.
The complaint has been filed by a former
Chairman of Delhi Commission for
Karamcharis, Harnam Singh, who has also
accused Kaif of the "crime". The complaint
read, "rather than protesting at the
offensive and insensitive statement joined
the accused number 1 (Khan) in insulting
and abusing the victim through her
conduct."
The complainant had filed the complaint in
December but no FIR was registered and
hence he has now filed an application in the
court.
Speaking about Tiger Zinda Hai, the movie
has performed extremely well at the box
office with the overall collection over 500
crores. The movie was helmed by Ali Abbas
Zafar and was a sequel to Kabir Khan's Ek
Tha Tiger.
