Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat battled many wars and finally emerged victorious when it released on January 25, 2018.
The movie is breaking records at the box-office and the worldwide collections have crossed the RS 500-crore mark.
Padmaavat has now found a fan in Shah Rukh Khan who loved the movie. Bhansali met up with SRK at Mannat for dinner recently which was hosted by Gauri Khan.
A source in the know informed us, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan have been close for the longest time since SRK starred in Devdas. Last week, Bhansali was invited to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's house for dinner which was hosted by Gauri. Shah Rukh, who loved SLB's movie was all praises for Padmaavat."
"While there has been a talk of Shah Rukh refusing Bhansali's movie, there have been no recent talks about a movie signing between the two."
Shah Rukh Khan recently spoke about the Padmaavat controversy and the protests. He said that major Bollywood stars stayed silent on the controversy not out of fear but to avoid hurting the film's chances at the box office.
He told a leading daily, 'Sometimes when people are going in an uprising', you should just stand back. Nobody is scared, fearful or hiding their own skin as is said about Bollywood stars, Oh these people just want to earn money and not do anything for the society.' No. We love our society, we make entertaining films and we want our society to be happy.''
Shah Rukh further added that he suggested the film's team to remain quiet during the controversy, rather than giving importance to the protests.
