Since I find most of the SLB movies boring to watch, I never got caught with the hype surrounding. Just happened to see this song Khalibali on Youtube by chance (most of you must have seen this song already). While watching the song, I couldn't decide whether Ranveer looks menacing or Clownish in the song? What do you think?

But according to people here i thought it was a "fact" that the character was based on history and "facts".

That dance step 🤣, does not look menacing at all. Can not imagine a cultured King dancing like this. People can be brutal but be cultured as well. No human is black or white.

We can not compare the culture of royalty with today's view points, heck even the head of states do not dance in public. So why do these film show a King dancing is beyond me.

u should see it on big screen...it makes you wonder if this is from SLB, who gave us wonderful songs and picturisations in films like khamoshi and HDDCS.

naino walle is a such a beautiful song from this album, how i wish bhansali gave us another classical dance number, rather than this torture.

there were some scenes where ranveer is brilliant, but it stops there...his clownish act overshadows some of those brilliant act.

things should be done in moderation, if it goes overboard, it becomes a headache.

the more i think of movie, the more i feel, even tho aditi rao and dips didn't get enough screen time, but at least they were beautiful, graceful, and did not give any headaches.

i found both shahid and ranveer 🥱

It was clownish. Just like malhari, not suitable for the film.

I'm talking about the dance only. Song was good

I haven't seen the movie but both khalibali and Binte dil looks extremely funny.Ranveer has ruined the songs with his OTTNESS.He looks anything but menacing.

Wonder why SLB does that to his characters. Even in BM he made Bajirao dance like a party person. It just felt so out of character - same goes here.

Ranveer has done a great job, but it's just so utterly clownish. Even in the last scene where Khilji is shown running like a possessed man towards Padmavati, and gets the door shut on his face by the women - god! Those cartoonish expressions that he makes made me chuckle during a scene that was supposed to be extremely grim.

And I only blame SLB for that.

Ashutosh Gowarikar's Akbar rising and joining the whirling dervishes' seemed appropriate. He didn't make it over the top by making Akbar dance like a maniac. It felt like it was in his character, but what SLB does with his historical characters is just so comical 🤣

SLB do more justice to curtains, bacground and lightning then main characters.

Anyways, this song may look clownish but Ranveer nailed it as Khijli ab accept karo yah na karo upto you 😆
