It makes sense if you read the full article. He says 10 years down the line only thing that matters is that he did an slb movie and it did great on box-office, which is true.

Even earlier he said this, that he accepted it mainly cause it's an slb movie. Forum hypocrites might hate slb cause he hasn't worked with their favourites, but real world praises him n due to 2 back to back hits, working with him is a coveted thing.

Well he is...I dont get why people dont realize that if a leading hero/A lister plays a not very prominent role/role with less screen time it helps the movie receive better buzz. Like PC's character's name wasnt in the title of Bajirao Mastani. But if someone like say Aditi Rao Hydari played it and not PC the movie would not have looked as big. Likewise for Madhuri in Devdas or Ash in ADHM. SLB understands this very well and thats why casts accordingly. I dont understand why Ranveer fans have a problem with Shahid claims or gets some credit for the film's success. If the film would have had Vicky Kaushal as Ratan Singh as originally planned the buzz(the film related and not Karni Sena related) of the film would have not been as much.

Khilji may have shone through the film but ratan is still an important part of it. Shahid is still a hero in the film in that sense .

Not all RS fans have issues with him... But its sad that Media is asking such questions and when he answers them, the words are twisted. But he cant do anything bt it, as even if he doesnt comment media will make a mountain of the molehill.
