The answer is No

But both Anarkali and Jodha are fictional characters.

Google says this though
Mariam-uz-Zamani (Persian: , lit. 'Mary of the Age'[4]), (c. 1542 19 May 1623) was a wife of Emperor Akbar. Her actual name is unknown, but in an 18th-century genealogy of her clan (the Kachwahas), she is referred to as Harkhan Champavati.[5] She is also referred to as Harkha Bai[6]or Jodhabai which perhaps indicates that she was a princess of Jodhpur by birth (although mostly she is said to have been a princess of Amber).

It is easy for people to call mughal e azam overhyped now! It was one of a kind when it came out, esp Pyar kiya to darna kya which SLB tries so hard to imitate 😆

For me, Jodha Akbar >> Mughal e Azam as the chemistry was at another level n the urdu was easy to understand. Mughal e Azam was too boring for my liking. I cudnt connect to the love story at all.
Mughal e Azam was a landmark film. But, even Jodha Akbar is a landmark film that kickstarted such Epic Historicals about Kings n Queens in recent era. It's success led to creation of more films in this genre.
