Talking about controversy it was created by Raees Bhai as well but he struggled to reach 100 crores. Here it has been achieved in 3-4 days just like Salman and Aamir movies.

Controversy has certainly given an impetus to Padmaavat, but no controversy in the world can garner the kind of numbers that this film is getting in India and world wide. And the trend is very, very strong even though the controversy has all but died down on. The film is doing business on its own account and WOM now!

Girish Johar is working with KriArj and BOI. He wants to push up Shahid so that his next film Batti Gul can be sold at a good price. Else even a Monkey can see that WOM is due to Ranveer n Deepika.Infact, Shahid was the weakest link in the film.

Ranveer is the backbone of Padmaavat. You take him out of this equation and there is practically nothing that would appeal to the masses in this film.

Karni Sena is conveniently quiet now. They should open their own PR firm. Kangana can hire them for her next instead of bullying an innocent man.

movie is huge here, you can't get the tickets. some of my family, friends totally avoid BW movies in theaters, but this one, they deffo seeing in theaters. there was a news couple of days before the movie release on our local news, something about controversial movie releasing this wknd, theater chains alert...or something. I didn't catch it but heard about it. 😆

Err!!! I said Deepika has the weakest role( which I got to know from critic reviews and forum members). She might be having a stronger role, I don't know. To see who was best or who was worst(in acting), for that I have to watch the film.

It is a fact that audience loves heroes and hates villains. It is no rocket science. All the superstars, popular actors, have played heroes all their lives. If audience had loved villains then Amjad Khan and Amrish Puri would've been Superstars.

but that you are talking about general movies... In this movie, all critics are praising RS and even the audience have loved his work...

Oh, so you were calling DP the weakest link, without even seeing the movie ? Though most critic reviews didnt say that about her...

Just one piece of advice, never listen to forum views in terms of RS-DP and SLB. They hate these three to the point of no return. The fact that Padmavat did well, is burning a lot of hearts here, so dont expect them to praise these two even if they do the best.

RS is not a full-fledged villain like Amrish Puri and Amjad Khan. All their roles were negative so they had that villain tag to them. But RS's this role is one-off like SRK's darr. Though he doesnt have the sympathy like SRK's villain. But this role just increased the expectations from him in terms of performance. Now in his next film, everyone will be eager to see how he performs.

I cant say the same thing about Shahid, though he is a good performer and already given so much variety through UP n Haider etc. But this character isnt challenging his talent in those terms as its doing with Khilji.
