I don't see anything wrong in this. She is definitely the bigger star than both Ranveer and Shahid. People making fun of return of ...xxx should note that xxx is considered a worldwide hit. And like seriously we are going to criticise her for xxx. Yes Ranveer from all accounts seems to have been the highlight of the movie but that doesn't take away from Dp who many say is and embodies the titular character and is the highlight of the second half. So what's the gripe. Why do we never crib when even a second lead male star gets paid more than the heroine every single time. In Bahubali , anushka and Ramya delivered and how, in fact it was their rivalry which stole the show over an insipid titular character. Yet they were paid one fourth of what their male counterparts were paid. Where were these commenters then. No doubt women find it difficult to attain equality because often it's other women trying to bring them down

Ranveer still hasn't given a clean hit without Deepika in the movie and yet people don't belittle her! The fact is he is with her in a relationship and secure about her being paid more so why is everyone else flipping out?

When the Karni sena went nuts, they went afte Deepika who is essaying the MAIN lead. Now whether you think it's flowerpot or whatever it doesn't matter, her brand value is the highest in this movie, there is no doubt about that. If you look at social media polling etc despite a gap of 2 years people were still crazy about her.

And yes she was the best thing about Padmavati and that is obviously my perspective 😆 , others might think differently , opinion is not fact! At the end of the day would aditi rao ( who is stunning btw) and ranveer in the main role have brought the same audience? I don't think so!

Makes sense , She is the bigger star here .. Her costars have got a hit after back to back flops .. It would have been highly unfair had it been anything otherwise .. Ranveer , poor guy , gives terrific performance but it gets overshadowed due to the presence of his girlfriend .. He needs to give such performances outside of RS-DP onscreen combo & then he is good to go .. ⭐️
